There is an interesting question as it pertains to the Batman comic book hero: Which one is the impostor? Bruce Wayne or Batman? Which one is the heroes true identity and which one is the impostor?
Is he a billionaire pretending to be a hero? Or a hero pretending to be a billionaire? It certainly seems harder for Batman to play the role of billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne than it is for Bruce Wayne to play the role of Batman...
Two identities living in one person… Batman seems uncomfortable with Bruce Wayne. But Bruce Wayne also seems comfortable with Batman.
This also makes us wonder, was Jesus a man moonlighting as God? Or God moonlighting as a man? And like batman, was there ever any confusion over which one of the two was the authentic one within Him?
Many of us live with an impostor living within us that constantly reminds us that we don’t belong here and we’re not all that people think we are. We may even feel like we’re 2 personalities living in one body.
Listen to this message as we reveal and remove the "Impostor Syndrome" the same way Jesus did… Through God’s Word.

Depression is an epidemic in our society. Just look at these depressing depression statistics….
- 17.3 million adults or 7.1% of all adults in America have experienced a major depressive episode in the past year.
- Every American generation is having higher rates of depression than the one who preceded it.
- Anti-depressant use has gone up over 300% in the last 20 years.
- 1.9 million children, 3 – 17, have diagnosed depression.
- And far too often depression leads to suicide. From 2001 through 2017 the suicide rate increased 31%.
Right now, our world is a recipe for depression and suicidal thoughts. Listen to this message from Pastor Brent at our SouthShore Campus as he addresses this topic head on, and gives practical advice on how those battling depression can overcome.

In an old Peanuts cartoon Lucy demanded that Linus change TV channels, threatening him with her fist if he didn't. "What makes you think you can walk right in here and take over?" asks Linus.
"These five fingers," says Lucy. "Individually they're nothing but when I curl them together like this into a single unit, they form a weapon that is terrible to behold."
"Which channel do you want?" asks Linus. Turning away, he looks at his fingers and says, "Why can't you guys get organized like that?"
There is certainly something powerful about coming together physically to worship and seek the Lord! It's not that we cannot do it alone, but we think we have all missed corporate worship. Join us for this message which is the day we finally came back together! Let's move forward in unity and give the enemy a black eye with our unity of worship!

Love is celebrated worldwide. Rich and poor celebrate it. Every language and every color celebrate love. People writes songs, and poetry and books about love.
Love is powerful! It can cause a tough man to write gentle poetry. And a soft woman to fight off wolves with her bare hands. Love can cause someone to give their very life for another. Love is powerful… but it’s also painful. Love opens your heart up and allows the potential for your heart to be broken. No one can hurt you nearly as much as someone you love deeply.
The greater your love, the greater your potential for pain is. This makes love incredibly risky, So why do we do it? Listen to this cinematic message as Pastor Brent explains what we can learn about love from a story of where God told a prophet to marry a prostitute.

Every great man and woman of God go through times where they have to keep running while it’s raining around them… and on them. Jesus said that God sends rain on the just and the unjust. So don’t think that just because you love Jesus and are seeking to serve him that rain won’t come… Rain will come on us all, the question is what will you do with it?

Have you ever seen a cook who has such a taste for something that he can spot the most minor ingredient missing? Or a builder who can walk in and immediately see a problem that we didn’t even know was there?
Experts do that – They have a trained eye. The Apostle Paul was a church planter and in Acts 19 he quickly spots something that was missing from the believers. Paul was accustomed to sensing the power of the Holy Spirit in people's lives.
What can this story teach us about our own walk with Christ? Listen to this cinematic message to find out!

One of Pastor Brent's favorite songs as a teen was “The Dance” by Garth Brooks. It was the final tune on his debut album. At first glance the song seems to be about love lost, but Garth Brooks always saw it more of a song for people who gave their all for a cause and would say the dance was worth the pain.
The video then features images of people who died for their dream. In fact, Tony Arata wrote the song in 1986 and had 3 years of rejection before it was eventually recorded by Garth in 1989.
This message looks at the story of Mary and Martha and discusses how life isn't all about balance... Life is about The Dance…

Have you ever read Psalm 23? No Psalm is more memorized or quoted than Psalm 23, and often this Psalm is only quoted at funerals. It is the most famous of all the Psalms.
For 3000 years this Psalm has brought comfort to people. Augustin called it the Martyrs hymn because so many martyrs went to their deaths quoting it. Abraham Lincoln took comfort in this Psalm as he was weary of the Civil War. George W. Bush quoted it to a nation that was confused after 9-11-2001.
Psalm 23 was a Psalm of David and it’s simple enough that a child can understand it, but deep enough for a theologian to drown. It's short and sweet with only six verses, but is also very powerful. This is the mature David looking back over his life and recognizing how God has led him like he used to lead his sheep.
Check out this message as Pastor Brent discusses how it’s time we move Psalm 23 from tombstones and inscribe it on our own hearts.

We all know mothers are important – We wouldn’t be here without them. And while some mothers were not the best, most of our mothers are worthy to be praised, honored and appreciated.
Biblically speaking, we know of some great mothers. People like Sarah, Naomi, Hanna, and of course Mary the mother of Jesus. Have you ever considered that Jesus’ ministry began at the request of his mother, and some of his last words on the cross were toward caring for his mother? Certainly mothers are important to Jesus and they should be to us as well!
So, what if we told you that 3 of the greatest leaders in Biblical history were born from the same woman? That would be crazy right? And what if we told you that you may not even know her name? That would just be sad! Check out this cinematic message as we dive into the greatest mother in the Bible and what we can learn from her story of what it takes to be a great parent.
